My rule is start with the cheapest stuff that may be the culprit

Try the gas cap thing.

If its not that I would definitely get a wideband. You can pick up a used one or one for under200 new

Ditch the walbro pump and get a 340 Fullblown fuel pump. Annoying wine will be gone.

This is true, I just did the same.

Also, look into FID injectors to save some $$ over the ID's if you want.

I have been reading on the MPG of supercharged S2ks, and it seems people average between 20-26 mpg.

My S2k is getting 15 mpg combined street/highway.

Why would it be getting such garbage MPG?

It seems to not matter between civilized or harsh driving. I did a test and with no harsh boosting it only got 16mpg.
I suspect its the fact that you are still using a rising rate fpr with your tune. You should get rid of the rising rate fpr and stock injector set up for a set of very efficient ID 1000 injectors and get a conventional tune with your AEM EMS, no matter what boost your running. This will be more efficient. You are not running the most efficient set up by increasing a rising rate fuel pressure (which is typically inconsistent) all wile trying to fill in an obscure duty cycle around that inconsistent fuel pressure. You are effectively over complicating the tune this way and not for the sake of benefit, but rather diminishing efficiency. I wouldn't be surprised if you were running too lean and too rich both in parts of your tune, or just too rich as overcompensation to be safe by your tuner, but that casing poor MPG. So again ditch the rrfpr and get some efficient injectors like the ID 1000 and then get a re tune.
