On an NA car i dont see going to 9k being that huge of a deal unless the car is road raced. Because n/a the power will drop off sharply above 8500rpms.

However with the vortec you'll HAVE to take it 9k to get full boost since you'll make more power the more you rev it.

Even the road raced AP2's I know don't rev it out to 9k. The returns aren't worth the significantly decreased life of the motor.
