Thanks Halo. I too talked to dealerships in the bayarea about the warranty issue and it seems what you say about the drivetrain is correct.
If i get a SC it will be in the next month or never. I'll let you know how everything turns out.

Don't let the drivetrain thing scare you off. I've put 15k miles of hell on my car with the sc'r. The drive train in the s2k is extremely well built. I've never heard of a rod snapping or a piston cracking from the sc'r. Actually I've never heard of any of these things ever happening unless someone did something REALLY bad.

The engine is solid, the only I'd suggest is maybe have it put on a dyno after install to make sure it's not running lean.

Depending on your driving habits/clutch current condition a beefier clutch may be in order. I stress MAY be. I'm still on the stock clutch after 15k sc'd miles, 42k total and its still strong and doesn't slip and I love 9k rpms

The only other thing you might (again might) need to worry about is your diff. But there are guys pushing 350whp on the stock diff so again it's really driving habits.
