Was just about to post something similar. Additionally, when things go wrong (and they will at some point) you'll have a lot better idea of how to deal w/ the problem. If i managed to install my kit w/o much prior automotive knowledge there's no reason you can't as well. Just take your time, read everything you can get ahold of about it (three times) and then do it.

I got my S/C installed by a board member...he did it for $400.I have a vortech.
