Axial Flow Supercharger
RP is having problems with his RX-8 but not because anything he has done with the AFSC. The problems he is having was an existing problem that he had with the car when he bought it just for this project. The most important thing right now to report is there was a 50whp gain on the rx with only 5psi pressure and no tuning. When it was measured there was some belt miss-aliment issues that were being worked out. So there was most likley some belt slippage. What this mean is he was getting 5psi due to the internal compression of the AFSC but was not getting the full flow the system is capable at the 5psi the pulley is sized for. Until the problem with the cars is worked out I don
In prep for the AFSC I will be installing the Greddy Emamage ultimate in teh next couple of days.
The new features of the Ultimate look very promising when it comes to the AFSC while retaining the stock ECU for those that either have either the non flashable S2k ECU

Lot of projects I want to try while waiting on the AFSC.
I think in the long run the AFSC will be where I end up going based on price vs hp gain vs cost and reliability.

You compare reliability of what? Something that nobody has seen or tested.
As far as hp gain who knows? Richard was shooting low so it certainly won't be much?
This thing maybe available in another few years but probably more like a decade if ever.
There appears to be plenty of time for trying lots of other projects.
I'm curious, why are you promoting this?

This thread is almost a year and a half old and still no charger. The RX8 thread is even older and lots longer and still no charger.
Depenna you must be a man of great faith and patience.

In this period of time, the S2000 has been discontinued.

What do you think.. Go to RX8club.com and check out the ridiculously long thread over there.
By the time he gets the S2000 one going, the car will be no longer in production
I'm no longer a believer. This thread needs to be locked until he actually comes up with a product.
That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it

I'm quoting myself just for you.
But then again it made him famous enough to sell a bunch of short shifters that ratlle.
