Although using a deck plate when cut/honing the cylinder walls is best, if I'm not mistaken, many places don't actually do this.

I do not know one way or the other about InlinePro.

I'm glad you got it fixed up. Cudos to IP for helping you out with the rebuild. I've learned expensive lessons with engines as well.

I know that break-in procedure is a very controversial subject, but did both IP and Jeff agree you only needed a couple hundred miles of break in?

Also, what did each suggest about "how" to break in? Meaning throttle, revs etc.

I'm sorry for your problems, but very happy it all worked out!

I have a question regarding the pistons. I think I've read a lot of threads saying that CP pistons don't work with FRM / stock block. Is that false? But from what I understand, your engine is built like this.

Thanks!

Maybe CP had a coating on piston option,
also can spray non oem liners with a coating at some specialist shops.

How did IP ruin the first engine? Sounds like it blew from running the tune from the original motor. Where'd the second ruined engine come from?

EDIT: Damn, there's another thread for engine 2. Ignore this comment.
