So ive been noticing that when the car is idle the bov only opens up about 1/4 inch not even. It doesnt fully open.when i give it some gas it closes. Is this normal? Was just wondering if my bov was faulty.

Really? Only opening a 1/4 inch? I figured maybe at least halfway.

 

If it's like any other BOV I've used, you can take it apart and clean/lube the internals to assure that it's not sticking, but it's probably fine.

It will only open fully at high vacuum levels, such as when you let off the gas quickly at higher boost/rpm levels.
