There is only slight side to side movement. If it was an old turbo I would even say it was normal. There is no in or out slack and the shaft stays perfectly centered when the car is idling.

Are the blades making contact with the compressor housing at all (scratches on the inside of the comp housing)?

I don't believe so Kyle although I will have to get a better look tomorrow morning. The radiator in the DD has cracked so the s2k has to carry those duties for a few days.

Matt my brand new turbo has some side to side and it has 0 miles on it. I'm guessing this is normal as long as its not touching/hitting the compressor housing

Well that puts my mind at ease. I figured once the bearing have oil pressure to them then the shaft will stay pretty centered. The thing that concerned me was I could hear it click a little when I pushed it side to side.

So the fins aren't contacting the side of the inlet. Maybe I am just paranoid.

Yeah mine does the same. No in and out but it will move side to side. I wouldn't worry about it Matt unless its smoking bad or hitting something

I should lol but just have crap cell pics. I'm still stuck on my fuel setup. Grrrr so many people telling different things. I will try to start a build thread. It's getting close to being done. After I figure out what pump and injectors to go with
