Best DIY Battery Relocation
I am afraid there is no ready bracket-basket for a battery on the net. Mine is also custom made from aluminium and i bought it from a fellow USA member. It is also riveted on the cross member. It is made to accomodate an odyssey PC680T battery. If you want to put the same one i will be happy to measure it and give you the dimensions.
If you want to accomodate a full size battery i think you have to change the radiator fans to thinner ones like SPAL otherwise it won't fit. As far as i can see neeman 77 must have done this as i cannot see the OEM radiator fans from his picture

What exactly is that piece that looks like its connected to the negative wire(with the little red knob on top)? I am a noobie at wiring as you can tell and i want to attempt to do mine in a month or so and put it where my spare tire was. Would there be a problem if i put it there, as long as i get something to bolt it down like you did.
I agree. I used that same location after seeing astig's pics above. Since I'm lazy, I used the OEM battery and battery tray and just cut some holes for the wires. It was super easy.
I used a distribution block from McMaster-Carr to connect the cables. (I liked dsddcd's idea of using a switch, but was in a hurry and went in a different direction. This also allowed me to avoid dealing with crimping or soldering any connections.) I mounted it under the passenger fender where the windshield washer tank used to be, since I'd already pulled everything there as part of my wire tuck. Popped a hole in the inner fender wall to route the 0-gauge wire back to the trunk, and Presto! All done.
Here's the new positive wire coming in through the fender wall and running along the passenger door sill. I got the loop clamps to hold it in place from Lowe's, along with most of the other hardware. They have body bolts too.
This thread was a big help in planning my relocation. Many thanks!!

I too felt lazy back then and used the OEM tray. Hey it works! Just that I put mine on the left hand side so I can still have spare tire accessability. Who knows, one day I might need to use the spare.
