What are you're goals? Setup already, and what are you planning on getting?

^ That is what I was thinking. I know of a few people on here that built their bottom ends after originally going turbo and then wanting MORE power, not doing so because they blew their motors.

My basis comes from knowing some of the people and talking/PMing to others who recently ordered built engines and also from talking to several shops that do the work. My engine is fine. Though I have started to research the different companies that build engines incase the day comes where I need their services. Over the phone you can ask the shops about the conditions of the motors, specifically S2000's, they receive. That is where I got my info.

I am simply going by what I know, and I am not claiming to know everything or everyone. However, there are more blown motors out there than people advertise/post about on this forum. I am not just referring to blown turbo motors. There are damaged motors from superchargers as well. Of course there are people who want more power, but there are also many damaged engines.

Well, you are still incorrect. And since you say you "dont know everything and everyone" dont post misleading info.

This is an accurate statement.

I know of many blown up FI engines that haven't ever been posted about, just because the owners don't want to hear the BS.

Keep it on topic.

Give yourself more time on the boards before you start passing judgements. I doubt in the short amount of time that you've been with S2ki that you've already gotten a feel for the environment.

Forced Induction has been discussed here ever since the S hit the States. Back when I was researching turbos and the F20C there was really only a knowledge bank for superchargers. Eventually more and more turbos started surfacing and there were severe growing pains. People went through a lot of time, money, motors, sweat and tears before anyone started to see stability.

People posted about blown motors more frequently in the past with very little positive feedback. They received a lot of flaming and some possibly out of embarrassement and frustration didn't feel the need to share it with the world. Learn from the past. Just because you choose not to believe me doesn't make you right. I am simply trying to help address a question posted by another owner by telling them to use extreme caution. Turbos are not a cheap investment or easy bolt on application, and there are real risks involved that you apparently don't believe.

Have a nice day.

Not misleading at all, I'm one of those guys who don't post much and blew my original motor due to a combination of being greedy and stupid...I ended with a car that sounded like a vespa and couldn't outrun my 9 month old daughter. A hard lesson learned especially when it came time to pay the bill for a fully built motor.

Cherry04 do your homework and stay in touch with some of the guys on this forum, they really know there stuff.

Enough said
