Default Bolt size for coolant line in block for oil cooler

I'm removing the factory oil cooler and need to find a bolt
for the hole that will be left vacant in the block when i
remove the cooler.

I mean the coolant line that goes to the block.

Does anyone know the thread/pitch/length etc?
Cheers

I measured 18mm diameter with a 1.0 pitch. It was difficult to locate a bolt/plug this big with a small pitch. I never found one, so I cut the factory fitting short and welded a hex head onto it.

I believe the b series motor has some plugs that will fit. I will check.

^^^ i think he is reffering to the barbed fitting threaded into the block right above the oil filter location

but yes he will need that too.

I'd have to double check but I don't think you can't plug that. You need to attach a new hose from the block to the tube that runs across the front of the head.

Maybe you can. Did you check coolant flow and verify that it's not feeding something important?

EDIT when I did mine doing an engine swap this past week I didn't check. I just pulled the OE cooler and used a new hose to complete the flow.

its just a return for the coolant coming from the oil cooler itself.
