i hate when people say " universal limit is 9psi ". i run 11psi every day on stock compression and thats a SAFE tune.
I think this comes from Comptech/Vortech kits that sell with 9psi.

Does anyone have Part #'s on colder burning plugs??
NGK Iridium plugs Part number: BKR8EIX. Stock number: 2668. Check my sig for specs on my setup. I believe these are one step colder than stock. They were recommended to me by Jeff at Evan's Tuning so I trust they are the right temp. Last time I pulled the plugs the temp looked good judging by the number of dark threads...2-3 is best.

Oh SOT is what i ment. Static X is who sells the roots blower kit. I am really thinking of going with the Roots setup. You just don't see as many at a centf. SC. Plus the low end toque sounds nice

so if you had the motor built with intentions of boosting it, why choose 11.5:1?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!

i mean 10:1 woulda been fantastic! 9:1 if your really worried. but 11.5:1. well, just doesnt make sense.

anywho, TC or SC will be fine. i wouldnt go above 450ish whp. and if you can, budget for at least water injection.

honestly, still, why 11.5:1 ?

I have a feeling it was built for NA purposes.

x2. the universal limit for stock block should be 500whp. not 9psi. shit, i run 11psi on my stock block.

hell, if my blower was efficient enough for it, i would run 15psi

Yeah much like a small turbo without any lag at all, basically builds boost right off of idle. Great for stop light to stoplight. If you want to be scary fast and keep up with the big dogs on the top end then you need a Centrifugal SC. You can only boost a roots so much. Around 330whp seems to be the average I see. Which is still descent and plenty fun when you consider the power curve. pros and cons to every set up, just depends on what you want more.

I went 11.5:1 cause I got an awesome deal on the JE pistons. I will def be running water/meth injection.

I believe someone on here was running close to 12.0:1 on 13lbs
