I pretty sure, looking at those pics, that the pumps just hang off the fittings. There isn't a hanger.

From what I can tell.

there is a hanger that actually holds the sending unit for the fuel guage. I made the hanger with the intentions of bolting the pumps to it but it was such a tight fit that i ended up using the earls fittings as ancors for the pumps. Everything measured up like it needs to be and the hanger top hat should be strong enough to support everything. I had to take the tank out so that i could move around it a little easier when i put everything together.
The hanger that i made was made frome the stock hanger top hat then i took a piece of c channel and welded to the hat. I made small tabs in the c channel to hold the sending unit and also drilled holes to bolt to the aluminum hanger that holds the pumps together but i just couldn't get any tools in there to bolt the hanger up. i'll see what other pics i can dig up but this was definately function over form for me so the hanger wasn't the best looking.

So do you think this is better than the FB dual Walbro setup? I am getting ready to run E85 and was planning on the FB setup. I already bought Carey's AFI intake mani.

Don't get me wrong the FB hanger is a really nice piece but the walbro pumps are the weak link there. You can ask anyone that knows about making good power and they will tell you that the 044 pumps are a superior pump to just about anything out. The thing I like is that these pumps have almost zero problems because they are a stock type pump from Porsche. If I couldn't have made this setup work then I would have used a walbro as a feeder then I would have put an 044 under the car inline.

Thats basically what I plan on doing.

255 in-tank --> 044 inline --> motor

Someone should get that single 044 in-tank hanger that boostedf22c made into production.

it would definately help people out in the long run to be able to fit an 044 in the tank from the get go. Especially when people have so many problems with the walbros. That way if you needed more fuel all you would have to do is add a second pump inline somewhere
