Yes and no, starrman. I couldn't work in an available CNC so I broke down and started manually machining today. I was hoping to skip straight to the CNC instead of wasting time cutting it manually... but I got the Tial side turned, just need to finish up with the aftercooler flange on a Bridgeport tomorrow. I also realized I have zero 3" aluminum stock. Had to turn down a short 4" piece of scrap for this one I'm working on now.

Ouch! Sounds like a lot more work than anticipated.

Instead of using a bolt, why not thread a stud in the aftercooler and use a nut to secure the flange down

^My boss suggested this as well; its a good idea and one that can still be implemented in the case that the Allen bolts end up not working out.

You should see the shop floor around the lathe right now! You wouldn't think a couple inches of aluminum could get so messy.

Alright, finished it up today. Worked out better than I thought it would for running it on a ~60 year old lathe. It mounts up nicely to both the Tial and aftercooler. Just have to get everything back in the car to make sure it all fits OK. Should have installed pictures tomorrow, but here is the flange:

The bolts fit in without any issue.

Thanks guys. Starrman is looking into contracting me to make one for him now. Since this isn't my "real job" and the times when the equipment is available for after-hours work are limited, I can only accept one contract at a time. If Starrman decides to do this and all works out for him (and me) then I will be open for another.
