I'm saving up for the InlinePro instead. Customer service is my number one concern and BRP has spread a LOT of doubt about that over the past 3 or 4 months.

Posted this in the other BR thread but thought it was just as important to post here. This is from the front page of their site:

August 4, 2006

BR Performance & Stage One Tuning will be closed for approximately 2-3 weeks starting today. We are doing this in an effort to catch up on our back log of orders, finish up our S2000 and NC project and re-organize the company in order to improve our customer service. During this time we will only be available via email for tech support and customer service issues. We will not be accepting new orders during this time, but we will continue to ship orders that received prior to 8/4/06. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you live in Cali and need the CARB cert, Comptech is and will be your only "legal" choice.

BR got caught trying to do too many things with too few resources. They're totally commited to serving their customers, and ironically that hurt their development of the S2000 kit because they were spending too much time installing Miata kits.

Sadly...I know...it would be nice to have more options though. The Comptech is a good setup, but the amount of low end torque this produces is wonderful, even if they could just make the non i.c. version Carb Cert since it is relatively speaking a simple setup. Then it would be easy to just take off the i.c. for smog and put it back on when done

You are incorrect. Vortech is also Carb exempt.
