They are beta testing on customer cars NOW, that is the important part.

It was more of a - the BRP owner went out of money, so he sold the company to that Barker guy and now he is probably an employee there. The kit they will release is that same kit, just the company owner is now different
The former BRP owner is not affiliated with SOT now as far as I know. SOT bought the assets of BRP, not the LLC interest. SOT is trying to clean up some of the mess left over from the BRP owner, but out of good faith, not any actual liability. The potential buyers of this S2000 kit are much better off with Jeff Barker running the company than Brant (the former BRP owner) IMHO.

I am installing the first BETA kit shipped - matter of fact I just finished the install tonight and will be street tuning the ELF fuel management tomorrow morning. Later in the day I will be at the Southwest S2K meet in Phoenix with 60 other S2K owners.

This weekend James is also finalizing the install on another S2000 in their shop.

I can tell you that Brant is no longer doing much if anything at SOT/BRP - I can not provide any details, but you should consider him "no longer affiliated." James is becoming the "tech" guy.

I do personally believe that Jeff Barker is trying to do the right thing and get the program back on track. I have spent many hours on the phone with both James and Jeff Barker over the past month, working with them to get this project/product moving.

Stay tuned - I will post a new thread here soon detailing the installation and performance of the kit. First evolution is non-IC and a few weeks later I will update it with the Air-Water IC upgrade.

If Brant is no longer there, this starts sounding a bit scary. So, the guys there will be just trying to complete and sell his current designs? But beyond that? James becoming the tech guy? Does he have any engineering background or ever designed a supercharger kit?

How tuneable is the ELF fuel management? Is it just fuel or does it do timing also?

Just fuel, but it is adjustable.

Just fuel - they are using the same concept at COMPTECH and letting the ECU control timing. You could add a Split Second Timing controller easy enough - I probably will

The thing is quite sensitive. minor pot adjustments make big differences. The hardest part was to get it so it would not run so rich on the bottom, yet still not go lean at 9K. There is enough injector headroom to easily run 10 to 1 ratios through the entire RPM range.

Max boost on the pulley I am using is about 6 PSI. It hits 4-5 PSI instantly anywhere from 4K on up.

What I ended up with for now:

2000-4000 - 10.4/1
4000-6500 - 11.5/1
6500 - small blip (just enough to see it on the gauge) to 12.4 at VTEC transition
6500-9000 - varied between 11.6 and 12.0

Still going to play around with it a bit more to see if the line can be flattened a bit more.
