Build Motor for 10 psi?
long story short I spun some rod bearings in my bottom end. Im currently debating if I want to go with an 03 shortblock with the updated oil jet bolts, and run 10 psi on my comptech S/C or build the motor for 10lbs of boost. Is it overkill to build the motor for only 9-10lbs? I want somthing that is reliable and that I can beat on (beat on meaning run though 3 gears WOT, and not baby all the time) and not worry about the motor having 10lbs in it.
Another alternative I am thinking about is a thicker headgasket and a set of ARP's.
I plan to attain some 550cc injectors and the new aem FIC to tune the setup.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Overkill to build for that low psi. oil jet bolts are easy to change out and are only 60 bucks at the dealership.
Thicker HG is ok but not for 10 psi.
P.S.
ditch the ARP's and stick with OEM.

I'm making 293 ft-lbs of torque at the rear on a non-built motor and the motor sees that a few times everyday. A centrifugal supercharged S2000 running 10 psi will make about 80 ft-lbs less. The engine will be just fine...
