Default Calling out to all Emanage Ultimate users

Just want to see how many of you lads are running the emanage ultimate with success. I'm still searching and I see people have success stories but they are not too elaborate. I'm curious as to how long the tuning process was as well as what EXACT problems they encountered and HOW they solved them...and saying that "I ditched the EMU and got an AEM" is not what I was hoping for!

I'm certain many people with the EMU are having good results but I want to have a look at your setup as well as hear about the journey to get good results.

Cheers!

You didn't really search very hard as there are 100s of different post covering this... I have the emanage ultimate and it's been perfect. No issues what's so ever. 16psi and 412hp right now. I am ditching it and getting the aem, not because I was unhappy with the ultimate though. The first tuning took about an hour and a half and the second took around two hours. Any other questions, feel free to ask. It'll be off tomorrow I believe.

I used it without trouble free, it was very reliable and easy to use. The basic features are very easy to use and it offers alot of features.

You can find the faults most people have inherent to any piggyback or like me the lack of support to try to figure out more advanced features. Last but not least most tuners hate it b/c you cannot do any easy lambda tuning which will require more time to tune unless you are good with the Emanage.

I have it, and have absolutely no issues of any sort.

I have the ULT - works perfect, easy to tune, holds two tunes, and is OBDII compliant. Does the job for me.

I'm using it but my tuner hates it. He had connectivity problems with windows XP and had to save and re open the file after every change that was made on the dyno. What was supposed to be a two hour max tune turned into five hours..

FYI i used the same tuner as asukadc and he has done a lot of emanage tuning but was relieved to hear that I was going to go AEM.

The Emu is a good unit for the money, but it has problems in certain areas, mostly where the stock ecu and emu are trying to run the car at the same time. This mostly happens at or around idle. Which is where I have the most problems with this dam thing. My Idle is always moving around. It may be that I dont know how to use the maps properly, but I can get the car to idle good for awhile. And yes lack of support on this thing is frustrating. You might try the yahoo emanage forums but most of those people are running different cars, so comparing setups is marginally useful. Regardless of the idle problems, the unit performs flawlessly under boost and high throttle. The Wideband feedback loop is excellent for tuning for afr's. The software on the other hand is pretty buggy, It seems to crash alot, I have to restart the program while tuning the car quite often. Another bug or problem with the software is that it reads most sensors as voltages in the fuel maps. So if you want to know at what boost the cell you are modifying is, you need to do some calculations, same for the timing maps.

I have the Greddy Emanage Ultimate boosting 9.5 psi and I have had no problems. My car runs just like stock, my car runs good at both low and high speed. I get a small miss around 3k but it's not big deal I can hardley even notice. I don't think you want to push the ult with super high boost tweaked out engine making mad power but 16 psi should be OK based on what others have done. You can pass emmisions, but I agree tuners seem to hate it.
