I already have the emanage ultimate but have been reading quite a few people who have had issues. I am located at around 3000 feet above sea level and did not know if there would be any issues with it. I'll be running 650 injectors with an in tank pump and will be running a 9 psi spring in my wastegate. I really don't plan to go over 9 psi and to be honest, I had a turbo'd lude for over 3 years and I was perfectly content at my 7.5 psi for that time.

I reckon that at 9psi on my s2ki should be just fine seeing that it'll be a higher boost level on a lighter car.

Cheers.

I'm pretty happy with my EMU, the only issue I have is Idle, but I think I'm figuring it out.

It seems to get better with me cleaning my intake, IAC and using a zip tie on the map

Oh yea I forgot to mention that I live at 5000 ft, so the may be one of the reasons for bad idle.

I'm glad this thread was started, I wanted to use an e-manage ultimate to keep OBD-II compliance and KPRO is too much...

sbrodacz- you're using a 3 mm headgasket?

I'll hopefully be installing this early April and have it hopefully tuned and running before May. I'm installing my kit when I get time off of work and then I'll get it to the shop. My mate says that I shouldn't worry too much about anything and although he's an AEM tuner, he says that if it can be tuned, we'll tune it! haha, He's a competent tuner and a good one at that, but this will be his first stab at the EMU so I hope there is no temerity in his confidence!

As I said, I wanted to see the success stories with the EMU and see what I was in for with regards to successfully tuning it and all I seemed to find were people who switched to another system and all the problems associated with the EMU. This is giving me hope once again to try this out and get it tuned properly!

This is a great thread... thanks for posting this up and thanks to the contributors for their comments and success stories.

I, as well have an EMU and I love it. The price is perfect for what it can perform. I am only on a NA tune since I am not FI, so my setup isn't as crazy as some others here, but it is great. And on top of that, the tuner is a one day drive away, so for tuning purposes, support is available.

I haven't played around with the software just yet though, so I can't comment on that.

The ULT should be doing absolutely nothing at all when you are idling.
It only offsets fuel and timing when you are under boost.

If you have idle issues, it's probably not related to a piggyback, right? Maybe crappy injectors, dirty IAC, funky MAP or TPS.

I am a noob but isn't it at least scaling the larger injectors, even at idle?

Yeah that's true - there is one value entered which is injector size. My "injector size" value entered is actually 10cc lower than the actual injector size.

Yea; but I guess that's only one input and it shouldn't really be messing up the idle.
