I've been running ultimate and I'm happy with it. Any problems have more to do with the tune than the equipment. Unless you are going for more than 400hp I don't really see a reason to try out AEM. I don't have a frame of reference though since I've never driven or even seen an AEM S2000. Just telling you I'm satisfied with the E-manage ultimate setup.

So as long as you are fine with 400 hp, you wouldn't need to install a new headgasket, and would be safe with just the Greddy E-manage Ultimate, provided that you have a good tuner?

I have seen this type of statement a couple of times, I am shooting for 400hp. That mean I will need to turn up the boost on my car close to 13-14 psi on a stock HG. This seem like it might be a ticking time bomb especially on a e-manage ult. Most people are running a hg 2-3mm which seems to provide a fudge factor. Do you guys think it's safe to run those psi numbers on the stock HG?

So is this a HP issue or a PSI issue?
What is the max hp on stock HG you guys would run with the Ult?

From other threads it seems 400 hp is fine with stock headgasket, but those people are tuned with AEM...maybe one of the tuners can chime in?

From what I can gather, it is a HP issue...

I always thought it was a PSI issue and that much over 10 psi causes or can lead to detination. You can run race gas or AEM Meth to get close to 12. If I can turn mine up to 12 I will.

i'm running around 10 psi with the greddy base map and there is no troubles and the car runs great. Its quick but I think with a tune it will really bring the beast out. Hopefully the tune will go well.

Yea id have to second guess that wierd idle too, if youre running some pretty good sized injectors w no fuel return youll deff have a shitty idle. there are a lot of other possibilities that this could be linked to but its most likely going to be because of the finicky fuel system. This thread was pretty much what ive been lookin for, Ill be makin a buy on an emu here in a bit when the tasty taxes come rollin in and itll be tuned on 14psi w the well known head gasket/head stud combo we've all grown to love . . Anyone got an emu they need to get rid of?

Another quick question boys. Is in required to have some sort of check valve for the pressure sensor for the EMU or just the blue?
