Which cams AP1/AP2 for built engine?

Hmm? I think it would be just the opposite.

I am struggling with this one still. The only thing that should make a difference is if there are higher cylinder pressure or more incoming mass to compress.

Well after increasing the boost on the AP1 cam was causing detonation so I am pulling back out.

You were retuning it with the AP1 cam, right, or did you leave the tune the same?

What were your AFRs? They look a little wet from being rich IMO.

Why is your plug so damn wet??
That may be the cause of your problems not the cams buddy.. I see the specs on the porcelain that indicate detonation. For me they were always silver specs.

I can't see the top of the plug surface, but that looks like you've either got oil blowby or running hella rich.

I learned quick during my SC300 days that excessive oil in the intake can effectively lower the octane level of the combustible. Caused all kinds of trouble for me and others who ran a -8 return line instead of a -10 (no restriction on the oil feed == retarded high oil pressure coming to turbo)

No I did not change the timing or fueling Yes the car was running rich with the AP1 cam which is why you are seeing the discoloration.
