That's true. I don't launch or burn the clutch or anything. Lots of redline shifts but no launching.

Haha. See that's boring to me! A clutch can hold a lot of power in a static fashion, but wot shift a few gears with 450hp and a normal organic disk will die a quick death

I'd stick w/the act plate.. all the cheap clutches use modified oem pressure plates which tend to make them drive funny. The crack in the fingers probably wont have much effect on anything. All the fingers are is a lever to move the friction ring. They dont actually do anything as far as the clutch holding power.

HD pressure plate w/the act performance street disk should hold up at 450hp for a while. A 6 puck disk is really the only thing that will hold up for a long time. Organic disks can only take so much heat.
So you don't think that the "slip" I was feeling was due to the cracked diaphragm? It would only happen in low rpm shifts. Held 9k all the way, every time. It was only partial throttle when I would shift and then start to go into the next gear it would feel like the car just didn't want to go. Seemed like the slightest slip of the clutch, but I never smelled "burnt clutch" smell and the contact surfaces of the flywheel and clutch plate don't look over heated. The disk still looks brand new aside from being dirty.
