SOS sports clutch is stock like and enough for the greddy kit.
Just keep in mind that if you want to go to a bigger kit in the future the clutch wont hold pass 250wtq.
SOS sport clutch is actually rated up to 300trq/400whp according to their website.

I just recently installed the ACT HDSS. Some have said it's heavy. I have found the first day I felt it was very heavy. Now that I've driven it for a week I don't even notice it. It's also manageable in stop and go traffic.

"rated at 300 lb/ft at the flywheel (approximately 255 lb/ft wheel torque or 400+ wheel horsepower)"

That is what it says on their website

^^^^^ have it with a CTSC (SOS). Its money in the bank, feels just like stock and will chirp gears like a bird (son of a bitch!) Just need a foot print gas pedal installed.

Well from the reactions I am getting from the Exedy Hyper Single I don't think I will be considering that one any longer for my application because of what I require.

So as far as I can calculate... A complete SOS kit with 11 lbs lightweight flywheel will be about $1030 or so vs the OS Giken ( which comes with everything including flywheel, althought I can't confirm the weight or type.) for about $1550.

I see that the Giken is a push type and SOS is stock pull type. Is the Giken more reliable like they advertise? Turns out there is a diff in price ( maybe not to the extent as some have lead me
to believe ) Does it warrant the added price? I don't mind paying for quality even if it's just for piece of mind sometimes hehe. I am desperately trying not to buying twice as we all have been know to do from time to time.

My only experience with ACT has been from only 1 S2K and multiple other models. They grab hard and make the car feels really strong but I have to tell you I made my buddies S2k with it die twice driving out of his apt. complex. The pedal was horribly heavy for me and I would never want to try and get use to that. I hope the ones you guys mentioned are not the same one he has installed. Seems ACT has lots to choose
from. Hard to tell which one is right for me.

It seems that Clutchmasters is a bit forgotten on this forum these days. I have a Clutchmaster's Stage 3 and I really like it. Pedal feel is predictable, just a bit stiffer than stock, but it hold the power really well and I haven't babied it.

Just another option...

i run a turbo setup at 13psi and i have a competition stage 4 clutch, and it is a bitch on first gear, but i just got a brand new clutch installed and will need sometime to get used it, but shifting is smooth and with the lightweight flywheel i def notice the difference. had the same clutch but it was used with the car.

You also have to take into account not all ACT clutches are the same. The HDSS is perfect for what you're looking for. Your friend that stalled out probably had a puck clutch.

just installed a Kraftwerks kit on my 04" with a stock ap1 flywheel and ACT stage 1??, rated at 380 ft lbs. slight more pedal pressure, you don't even notice it untill you step on a stock pedal to compare it to. not enough to bother in my opinion. i too was worried about a big stiff pedal, which i didn't want, but this set feels good to me. i'm sure there is other good stuff out there, but this setup came recomended highly. the flywheel is not needed, but if you have to replace it, i would then go with the ap1(14 lbs vs. 21 ap2) of aftermarket without going too light. some people even like the heavier flywheel effect vs. light.
