Default Clutch recommendations

Hey iv searched through the forum and seems to have mixed reviews on evertyhing so my question is, what is a good clutch kit for 400whp-550whp thats daily driven and autox once a month..im not sure what my tq will be and also id like to stay as close to stock feel as possible

i first looked at this because it was around my price range but im not sure if it will hold my power

well, I assume you are wanting to turbocharge your car since you are wanting 400-550 whp. My guess is you will probably need a stage 4 or higher puck clutch to achieve that and although you can get a pressure plate that is not much stiffer than stock the puck engagement is going to make it fun to daily drive

U should check out the science of speed billet twin carbon clutch, its definately pricey though $2300. But nothin but good reviews on it

If you are looking for a stock feel do NOT buy a puck clutch.

yes im going turbo, but that clutch kit says it will hold up to 383tq which is about 500whp correct? so why wouldnt this kit work and yes im trying to stay away from puck because it will be daily driven

the old one is fine if you bypass the clutch interlock switch.

that way you don't need to push the clutch down in order to start the car.

also don't hold the clutch in when in traffic, just take the car out of gear and release the clutch while in traffic.

i would never sit in traffic holding the clutch lol..and i dont rly hit traffic unless im driving to new jersey

i have a stage 4 competition clutch and that fits right in your range. took me a month to get it down flawlessly, but its second nature now and i daily drive my car. softer pedal than stock, "on/off switch" engagement.
