I think mineis the olderversion ACT street PP and I have yet to see any negative issues. The pedal definitely feels significantly stiffer and I love its engagement!

The clutch start bypass doesnt sound like a bad idea though... guess I gotta find a DIY for it.

Im actually NA temporarily, trading the turbo kit for a Vortech kit soon.

If you are making 375/231 on an 11psi pulley, I guess I can run a 12 psi pulley and advanced timing on E85 and still be within the limits. That should put me around 400/250 @ wheels I think.

You know how it is when you get to the tuner. You go there saying you will be happy with 9psi/350whp, by the time you leave you're running almost 14psi lol
Yeah i'm running full oem timing advance with water/meth so this clutch will hold you just fine at 12psi

From their website:

"The Science of Speed Sport Clutch for the Honda S2000 is rated at 300 lb/ft at the flywheel or (255 lb/ft at the rear wheels)...this increased torque capacity has been achieved by adjusting the clamping force of the pressure plate...while adjusting the geometry of the diaphragm spring as to not affect the drivability of the clutch. In addition, the disc is...a bonded and fastened high strength Kevlar/fiber/organic liner..."

This looks like a nice clutch with a pressure plate much like the other aftermarket clutchmakers offer. The disc looks a lot like the ACT street disc which is "single" dampened and as others have posted "a bit noisy on decellaration". I kind of like the OEM disc- only because it's "dual" dampened and silent.

Also at 12 lbs of boost and 250 lb-ft rwtq "Deception" probably wouldn't want to run this clutch at (just 5 lb-ft) less than it's rated for. It really doesn't give either one of you a whole lot of service factor or room to grow

Are you running the stock disc?
No but I’m sure its very similar being that its SOS's street clutch which is basically a modified OEM clutch. It comes with the PP and disk.

here you go, its real simple. Added "cool factor" for being able to start the car by reaching in the window

What is difference between street vs. HP. Oem disc vs. Act street disc? I thought they were the same.
I believe the pressure plate is stronger on the HP?

it's easy, did it in a CVS parking lot in about 15 minutes with a 3" piece of wire. Would've been quicker but i was trying to avoid laying in an ant pile next to where I had parked
