Competition Clutch Twin disc
The noise from idle happened yesterday, after installing the clutch and driving it back home 3 1/2 hours, as I let the car cool down, the noise happen. From a cold start there's no noises or anything.
Also would a aftermarket harmonic balancer fixed the noise from decel? That's the most annoying sound ever.

I don't have noise at idle hot or cold. No noise on decel either. There shouldn't be any noise unless you are pressing the clutch in. The plates only rattle when depressed unless the twin floating plates weren't correctly installed
Maybe my exhaust is too loud but I don't hear any noise on decel. I put a new harmonic balancer on but stayed oem. I do have a 3" open exhaust at the back of the trans and I love it. The floating plates are the plates between the clutch discs. Twin discs are noisy but they hold the power and give a nice pedal feel. Anyone that knows cars will appreciate the noises but 99% of people will think something is wrong with ur car and don't know what a twin disc is anyway
Yea the noise is bothersome but I'll have to deal with it. So after driving it again the noise from decel also makes a vibration as well, the vibration and noise stops if I clutch in or put in neutural. Could it be the tranny bearings or drive shaft???
Prob not. The problem with more power and modding cars is that they get harder to drive, noisy and more things vibrate and chatter. Prob why most people build cars and then sell them so soon after building. Especially little 4 cyl cars. 4cyl motors are very unbalanced and vibrate like hell. This will be my last 4cyl build. It's too bothersome.
Atm I'm all stock so there's no extra power, breaking in the clutch before I install my turbo kit. The chatters and clutch noise I'm okay with but this the noise from decel and vibration that worries me. Seems like something is out of balance in the drive train. I don't want to take it apart again.
I think you're fine as long as you orientated that plates correctly, torque everything to the right specs, and installed a pedal stop. I was freaked out a little at first too. Break-in your clutch and enjoy.
