Is the CC twin made with carbon or other material? What is the expected life of the clutch? I will eventually be replacing my Exedy Hyper carbon and don't want to go carbon again.

I'm running an Exedy Twin at 600whp and haven't had a problem yet. Threw a brand new Comp Twin in the trash because it was literally trash.

I haven't had any issues with my comp twin disc. Not sure how a clutch would save 3rd gear from shearing. How or why is the exedy better?

I have the sos twin disc clutch and this has got to be the best twin disc on the market for the s2000 transmission. It makes very little noise when your at idle with the clutch pedal depressed. The clutch pedal is as soft as stock and is much softer than an act pressure plate. Most importantly this twin disc is extremely drivable. It can and does drive like a stock clutch. Drivability is not affected at all. Plus it holds the 621whp 460tq from my 2.4 stroker engine like nothing.

Not yet. It's still my original transmission with 120,000 miles. 30,000 of those miles was at 442whp and the past 2,000 miles at 621whp.
