That thick of a headgasket will just add a weakpoint.
This thread is over a year old. Since then, regardless of whether you trust the idea or not, thicker headgaskets have become a tried and tested way of lowering compression amongst a number of FI'd cars.

Yep, there are tons of people boosting with thicker gaskets. There are certainly drawbacks vs lower compression pistons, but it works. The proof is in the pudding.
