Default compression ratio smogging

If you lower compression ratio will it affect smogging you car?

aka
im dropping the compression ratio via head gasket for supercharging, ems...
etc bla bla bla..

so i want to know if i throw back in the stock ecu and injectors will I have smog issues??

So long as you run a piggy back engine management system you can smog with lowered compression. If you run a stand alone then you're up the creek unless you bribe the guy smogging you...
