Default InlinePro 3mm headgasket

Hey guys,

I am currently rebuilding my motor and don't have the money right now to get an ems, reduction pulley and injectors... but i want to have the 3mm headgasket installed on a stock comptech s/c so i can up the boost with no worries...

Will the stock ECU be able to run the car with a lowered compression? has anyone ever run the car for a few months like that? Or should i go for the ems right now?

you will throw misfire codes cause of the lower compression.

The AEM EMS is recomended, but you might be able to get someone from NEW YORK to tune you the greddy e-manage.

PM AROD about the e-manage tuner

Along these lines, If if switch to a hondata 3 mm head gasket, do I need to have my car retuned for the lower compression? Im assuming, of course.... How much to have the headgasket done?

hondata makes a 3mm gasket?

the car will run, but very sluggish. It is misfiring, so it can't run properly. definately plan on getting engine management.

As far as I know all a VAFC does is increase or reduce the fuel delivery up to a certain percentage and control the VTEC engagement point.

I don't think it can mask or fool any readings the stock ECU sees from the sensors. You would need a more complex piggyback system to do that, or just get rid of the stock ECU altogether like it has been suggested...

I thought they did, but regardless if I upgrade to any different head gasket but I need to retune the AEM? How much for a new head gasket installed?

yes, if you got a thicker headgasket, it needs to be retuned.
