rb26dett + s2000
Just read the 2jzgte swap thread. I always wanted a nissan platform. The rb26dett would be the motor in mind. I want something different and something that would make torque equal to the 2jzgte. Im just trying to do more research and find any info if there is any about merging this motor and this car. If this swap really seems out of reach ill probably do the 2jz since its been done before. The 2jz thread really gives hope to other inline 6 swaps. I don't know the dimension differences between each motor yet. Just want to really overkill on planning this out and see if its worth the time and effort and headaches.
HAHA! its either that or buy a r33 skyline gtr with the rb26 in it already legalized in my area. considered it and didnt want to dish out the 50k and get rid of the s2000 just to have the motor. so i rather spend that money on a crazy never done before swap. you never know i might change my mind.
i say go for it. just do your research. you'll get alot of boos from people who think your idea is stupid or out of reach, but if your willing to spend the money to do something original then you definitelly got a good platform to start from.
My car is a toy and I just intend to play with it. Just my reason for considering the swap. I love the s2000, but I love the idea of an inline 6 turbo in our cars. Its up in the air still. I'd love to be the first to do something.

rb26dett are junk compared to the 2jz. It will cost 4x as much to squeeze the hp out of that which you can do easily with a 2j. Parts are MUCH easier to find for the 2j aswell so when something goes wrong....
Honestly if you are going to build a nissan motor, put it in a nissan.
Just my .02$

I've thought about this swap myself awhile back when i was watching an RB26 lay down 688HP at only 15psi on pump gas at 9k rpm in a S14 and it was the SICKEST exhaust note i have ever heard in my life......its got to be the baddest motor to ever come out of Japan....and i have heard them all......looking at the motor its a much better fit than the 2JZ is into the bay of an S......its a good bit smaller and lighter. I think its perfect. Man i wish i had the time and money to try this.
