with a log mani yuor vtec bop should be higher. you need to tune it on a dyno to see what timing snould be. but wiht motor leaking like that, i would fix it first personally.

I put in the restrictor and she still smokes a little at idle throughout the day. Im pretty sure at this point that the turbo was bad starting from last week. If i pull the dip stick out and leave the pcv port open, I get no smoke out of the valve cover.

Its just an annoyance at this point. As far as tuning goes yes it needs to be done but I dont want to waste my time with it if the motor is weak like it is. 26 and 36% leak down is pretty shitty. I street tuned it running 22 deg at 4 psi, 15-16 deg at 8 psi. AF's are perfect and part throttle as well. I would have no problem doing a rebuild but im moving in 3 weeks and dont have time to have any mishaps on the dyno or during the rebuild process.

Who in Cali other than Shawn Church does a pretty good job with S2K's?
