Default comptech sc belt install help

Anyone have any tips who has installed a comptech supercharger? For the life of me I can't get the belt on. I have the sc mounted I just can't get the belt over the stock pulley on the blower. The tensioner pulley is on but it isn't tightened and it is just hanging there. it almost goes around the pulley but not quite. The only thing I can think of is that the kit was bought used and came with an 8psi pulley that I replaced with the stock one that also came with. I have two belts but they both are about the same size and one looks like the one that came with the kit.

edit. this is the belt I have

I would make sure you have the correct belt. I have swapped pulleys 3 times on my car, and every time I get the belt SOS supplies me with. I have not had any issues installing belts on my CTSC setup.

well was anyone able to get the belt on once the SC was mounted? if that is the case that belt isn't going to get on there. I tried for 4 hours to get the belt on last night. the part number is different than the comptech one but I think comptech just assigned those numbers.

yes I have one ordered. one of the ones I have is a good year gatorback but if it isn't fitting I'm guessing it isn't the one that is for the 2L. I just mounted the SC and Now I am going to try to finish the install. Hopefully when the new one comes it will fit and I wont have to disassemble the whole kit again. It just might take awhile to get one here. I ordered from a place then they said they wouldn't ship it until august in the confirmation email so I emailed them back canceling it and found one on another website.

I have swapped pulleys and belts while the sc was still mounted on the car. It's doable.

Per SOS's info:

4.0" 390mm Belt
3.8" 390mm Belt
3.6" 380mm Belt
3.4" 380mm Belt
3.2" 374mm Belt
3.0" 370mm Belt

If you're going back to stock and have the 390mm belt, it probably is too short. I'm not sure which belt goes with the stock pulley (4.4" for AP1 4.2" for AP2)

You need a 400mm belt if I remember correctly for the stock 4.4 pulley.
