Default Comptech SC pully size=Impeller speeds=Boost?

Could someone list the ratio of pully sizes to boost for a Comptech SC, and if possible list the max impeller speeds for the Paxton Novi 1000.

I was told a 3.25 in pully would see 10 lbs at the manifold and i wanted a tad more so i had ASP make me a 3.15 in. pully i just recieved and now a friend told me that size was wrong and i am not going to be able to pull 9500 rpm with that small of pully because i would go over the Impeller limit of the charger and over work it??

Would a 3.5 in pully be a little safer at 9500??? If so, what boost would it hold and what kind of HP numbers would it lay down....I wanted around 400 whp up around 9k on an F22.....I just had SuperTech Dual Valve Springs/Ti-Retainers installed so i now see 9500....and also have Tech 2's Front Mount Aftercooler upgrade.....but is the charger going to be OK???

Not sure exactly what speeds the impeller maxes out at, although 3.15" @ 9500rpm is really pushing it....

As an FYI, Tech 2's FMIC "upgrade" has zero performance gains and will have no relevance in your question here.

Is this an AP 2 you are talking about with 9500 rpm? Are you planning a small kaboom in the near future?

ya its an AP2.....my tuner said with the Supertech valvetrain now installed the redline is fine at 9500....so i am taking his word for it. I am more concerned about the charger impeller speed being to high. I think i am going to start with a 3.5in pulley and see what i get out of that 1st.

Anyone selling a 3.5 in pulley for a Comptech SC.....send me a PM...THANKS

I don't think it's safe to run 9500 RPM on AP2. If you had an AP1, it would be safe to run 400-500 rpm more but I would think twice before revving to 9500.

Also, why don't you keep your 3.15" pulley and lower the redline. Be safe, have more boost...

just get the 3.15 in pulley and i would not reccommend upping the rpms on ap2s since they were built diff. from ap1 to accomendate more tq.

If i pull the redline down a little......where should i shift with the 3.15 in pully??
What would be safe for the charger??

The reason why i like the higher redline is because of track use....its nice to drag out a little more RPM down the front and rear straights where i run becasue i can only downshift 2 gears instead of 3 going into brakeing for the next turns...if i lower the redline back down to 8k i have to shift up to 6th.....then drop 3 down to 3rd.....i don't have time to drop 3 gears.....i'm faster dragging out 5th over 9k then dropping 2 down to 3rd....thats why i want 9k out of the AP2

Is anyone selling a 3.5in pully???

Hopefully you're not skip-shifting?
