I ran a 14.3 on that track when my car was stock, my very first time on the track. Shave the altitude different off, there is your 13.8. I took me about 8-9 launches to get to that number. The very first they I took delivery of my car with the s/c, I went to the track which is last friday. I only had 4 launches and a dragster crashed. my last launch i did 13.9, shave half a second that's 13.4 and I shifted at 8k every gear. I like to take my time to try different things and I keep all my slips to compare them because every launch I try something different. when I compare the 2k rpm launch and my last launch 14.4@102.9 and 13.9@102.5 first one 2.5sec 60ft, second one 2.1sec, this tells me I got the right rpm at the launch but I shoulda keep shifting at 9k. So next week I should be at 13.5-13.6@close to 104. which is almost flat 13.0 at perfect sea level. remember my car has the s/c only, no exhaust, no wheels and tires nothing. all perfectly stock. I think that would be a good accomplishment for a driver like me with this setup.

Last Aug. My car (Vortech) ran 13.2 at 106 or 108 mph at Virginia Motorsports. The car had DC header and Invidia exhaust. And most importantly it was on stock tires and stock clutch. No traction and a beat up stock clutch. We only had 4 runs and that was the best time. It was 100+ degrees that day.

Peak power maybe 8-19 whp. But over all power delivery will come out a lot sooner and the rev thru the mid range will def. be more smoother.

The car was never launched. We pampered the stock clutch. Because it was slipping so bad. Again, 13.2 was a time achieved by launching the car at 1,500 rpm and stock tires with stock clutch on a 100 degree day. Our other 3 runs were 13.7 / 13.5 and 13.7.
