So, the 2004 is going to be in toy store soon.... Will I be able to change my Vortech to the new 2.2??

To answer this question, I think I have to be patient

It already comes with a blow off valve. While on the subject of blow off valves. How does it work on the vortech kit? Does it go off during shifts?

Isn't it the same as the Comptech bypass valve except the Comptech returns boost to the intake whereas the Vortech vents to atmosphere? I thought returning to the intake was required for CARB?

Can anyone explain the way the bypass and blow off are triggered? I assume it's when the throttle is closed the vacuum in the intake is used to actuate a release valve. I can hear it hissing when I'm not on throttle.

I'm sure Vortech will eventually get one going on an '04. Remember, they're still finalizing one for the '03.

The blow off valve does its thing almost everytime you let off on the gas.

Yea and if you ask Vortech they'll convert it to a bypass valve if you like....little more protection against spinning a bearing but thats only my opinion.

What kind of 0-60 times are people reporting? How about 1/4 mile times? Just wondering if its worth the money.

Hey guys I couldn't get enough sleep last nite. I'm on my way to vortech rite now to pick up my car. Dyno was 164 stock @wheels now 265@wheels with the s/c. By the way it's a mustang dyno. They said on a dynojet it should be ~300@wheels. My friend is giving me a ride there with his my03 suzuka. On the way back we'll test the difference side by side.
