Hey fellas,
I just got my second s2000. Traded in the 01 for an 04. I want to do some power mods and I've been looking at Comptech. What can I expect with the complete package including the complete SC kit, headers and catback exaust system? Is there anything else I should consider?

You can expect about 100 more whp...and a big grin.

You may also want to consider an upgraded clutch and a BBK.

All that I can remember reading about Comptech's 04 SC is that they are only offered for the 2.0l version. Isn't that what is says on their site? I am considering a SC for my 04 once it has been fully broken in. I thought that I'd have to go with Vortech. Can anyone confirm that Comptech does offer one for the 2.2l?

The details of the '04 S2000's Comptech SC are fuzzy to me but I know there was a group buy on the SC that still might be going. I personally haven't seen any dyno plots and have heard that they are still fine tuning the kit so it delivers as much power as the pre-04's. The problem is the fact that the '04's don't rev as high, therefore, the supercharger doesn't produce the peak boost like the pre-04's. I've also heard that this problem has been solved by designing a smaller pulley for the supercharger. Do some searches and you'll find some more info.

I am not biased either way. I just want to get best and most reliable bank for buck I can. Does anyone have their 04 SC'd yet. Either company? I would love to hear their impressions.

I also am considering a SC for my 01 with 23k miles on it. Would my best bet be to have my local dealer do this? Would they get the SC themselves & warranty the work? Do they know what they are doing with a non-Honda product? What should I expect for total cost?

As you can see, I don't know much about this.
