I want to buy Cyber Logic's radio door and harness, but I need to make sure that the Vortech control unit and this will work together in the wiring with is plug in harness. YS- you mentioned making sure it is wired downstream from this, can you elaborate for me on this for me? Phil
I have no idea what a stock Comptech unit puts down on a Mustang. Most people are already on their way to other mods by the time it gets on the dyno.

Regarding the V-AFC, and I can only speak in Comptech terms, your MAP signal (in bone stock form) goes directly to the ECU. When you install the supercharger, there is an ESM that goes inline to "clamp" the voltage from the MAP sensor so the ECU doesn't see boost. When you install the V-AFC, which modifies the MAP signal, it has to go between the ESM and the ECU. Some people have mistakenly installed it between the MAP sensor and the ESM.

Forget the HP numbers. I want to see real results....i.e. 1/4 times between Comptech and Vortec.

I took the vortech for several reasons...The first being..none of the comptech units seem to perform up to the level they claim in my environment...hot sealevel etc. I believe this is because the comptech isn't intercooled.

The other reason was the warranty.

Read Rox's post earlier in the thread:

I filled out Vortech's warranty sheet and mailed it, two weeks later they replied back that the S2000 Vortech kit is only warrantied for 1 year only, since it is a import car. So there is NO 3 year warranty on anything from Vortech. Call and check your selves.

What Neuspeed parts are you running on your car?

I am pretty confident the Vortech warranty is three years, but there are disclaimers that you have to get your warranty registration back within 30 days or it drops to a year. This is a V2 supercharger and I read the warranty 20 times and this one has a written 3 year on the S/C itself with no such "import" disclaimer. I am still waiting for the dudes letter he got from Vortech, he PM'e me and said he would post it (that posted above about warranty). The balance of the kit has a one year warranty including the Aftercooler. It is a huge job to install this unit, but the kit and hardware are 1st class, and we are just taking our time and doing it right the first time. All that's left now is the Aftercooler install and electronics. The fuel pump is a bitch to replace and setting up the S/C on the mounting plate is a biggie! We can't work on it tonight, but Tuesday night I will drive it home. Thanks for everyone's invaluable help with all my questions! I ordered the VAFC in the radio door, so that will take a couple weeks and be the next big project. Phil

Yea Phil this is the "dude" I just spoke to Vortech and they are faxing over the letter this morning. I will scan and e-mail you. However, is all you have to do is freaking call them and state you have a s2000 and they will tell you the same thing that I am faxing to you.

Oh Yea I sent my Reg. in 5 days after recieving the kit. So I was well in the 30 day time period. Anybody that sends in the reg. will get the same letter I got. It takes them about 2 1/2 weeks to replay to your Reg. letter.
