That's so ridiculous...what is the point of the expensive CARB certification then that the manufacturer goes through if smog techs are still reluctant to pass them...

 

what is everyone's experience with a smaller pulley CT-E kit and still passing smog?

 

well I have a 4 inch pulley for 8psi. I have not had to smog yet. But people say a lot of shops will just turn you down.... but if the carb is there and everything is legal. im going to bring the manual show everything is legal, and wont leave until they smog it. wish me luck

 

when are you due for smog? Let me know how it goes. I'll be smogging mine in October, if I manage to get my car running by then
