Default convertor bungs reducers etc

Wanting to fit an aem meth kit. I have a port on the AC that I will likely tap but want a bung/fitting that is threaded on the out side and inside to take the nozzle, and fit into the port. The nozzle is I think 1/8 npt so I'd need something asking these lines. I'd say the nozzle is roughly 5mm outer diameter.

What would one of these things be called?

I'd say the internal diameter if the port is 17mm or there abouts.

Thanks

if you have a plug for this port can you drill and tap it to 1/8 npt maybe some picture to better understand what your trying to do. when i installed mine i drilled a hole in the side of the after cooler facing the left side of the car taped it and installed the jet directly into the after cooler that way the jet protruded into the airflow.

Hi Duncan

On the side of the aftercooler is a port that a pipe will go over and goto the front breather port on the rocker cover, i put a rubber stop over it so it no longer goes to the cam cover.

I want to tap this port and buy an adaptor or something that will then screw in and the meth nozzle will screw into that, so a fitting etc that is threaded on the outside and threaded in the inside.

are you talking about the air injection system that runs when the car is cold if so i would cut the nipple off flush then tap it that way but keep in mind if the end of the jet nozzle isn't in the air steam you may get pooling and incomplete distribution had that problem with my hot rod diesel i run two jets of as equal distance between one another to give a better spray pattern. i will go take a picture of the jet on my car so you can see what has worked for me

It's actually that first port in your picture before the nozzle.

right so if you are going to use that i would recommend cutting the port flush with the after cooler then tap it with a 1/2 npt or 18 mm 1.5 i have all these taps but there very expensive once that's taped im sure you can find an adapter at an auto parts store or just do what i did like i said either was you need to make sure the jet is in the air stream i think i will eventually go with the sos throttle body as it has an injection port built in and just screw a pipe plug in were the jet is now

OK aj your inner id is .615'' outer .750'' and the only tap i would use as i dont have sae larger than 5/8-28 is 18 mm-1.5 pitch and the meth jets are 1/8-28 or 1/8 npt i respect what your trying to do but for simplicity sake i would just drill a hole and tap it then all you have to do is screw a plug in there later if you took it out your going to have trouble finding an adapter to bridge the gap good luck in which ever way you go just my two cents
