Just got an e-mail back from Mike Laskey. Thinks the head should be fine and recommends a 9.6:1 CR? Should I be going with that or should I go with the 9:1? Gonna get it crated and ready by next friday. Guess there wont be much of anything left of the tax refund..

I believe Mike knows more than most on here and I would go with his recommendation of the 9.6:1 CR. I prefer 9.5:1 but 9.6:1 is pretty close to the same. I think you would be much happier with the off boost response of the 9.6:1 CR as apposed to the 9:1 CR. Turbo should spool a little quicker, you should have a little more low end TQ and the detonation resistance threshold is still good there.

BTW, do yourself a favor and stop giving the government a free loan with your money. Do you think they would give you a free loan? Figure out your taxes in a way that you can come close to breaking even at the end of the year and get more money on your paycheck. This way, you can still live the same but take that money that usually would have been held by the government, you know, the free loan you give them and they repay you at the end of the year, and invest it each month. I guarantee you will come out with substantially more money by the end of the year than by letting the government hold it for you for free.
