i have a leak in the vtec solinoid there is a crack in the extension plate any ideas on a fix or has any one had this problem before?

Depends on how bad the crack is. If it's not too bad you can get it rewelded, else try contacting Comptech for a new one.

Cracking of the SC mount was somewhat common on early Comptech SC's.
