Yeah, it was slow & gradual for me, $5,000 here, $3,000 there, and now once again $7,000 more, lol. In a month the car will be EXACTLY where I want it with the ability to finally shift it like I stole it at 11,000 RPMS. I can thankfully say I don't think I'll ever get board with 650HP, lol

I'm preparing for a monster build next spring / summer and I'm wanting an over the top ridiculous weekend exotic killer. Previously I've been keen on picking up a Toyota Supra and pushing it to about 800 - 1000hp on Pump Gas. I've had an easy time piecing together the price / parts / requirements for such a project, and my initial plan was to keep my S2K for my daily driver and the Supra for my project.

However, I've recently been contemplating picking up a different daily driver (Maybe SUV as I'm into sports) and completely rebuilding my S2K Instead! I however am having more difficulty finding the answers I need. I've contacted a high end tuning shop in Calgary and I felt they were talking out there ass...

First off I have heard of people running 600 - 700WHP on there S2K. Assuming I build up the engine completely, how reliable would this be as a weekend warrior?
Secondly, what kind of numbers would this bring in the quarter mile, would it be able to keep up to an 800+ HP Supra, or would traction be an issue?
I understand the S2K frame is not a beefed up as the Supra so will my actual body be able to handle such power?
Lastly how drivable will a 700HP S2000 be, I want to be able to run it without melting my tires through all gears.

My next batch of questions are regarding actual build requirements such as Turbo kit, Engine build ETC and how much I would be roughly looking parts + labor$ I'm curious if I can make this happen for less then 100K. I also plan on completely rebuilding the suspension / Wide body kit so I can run massive rear tires / CF roof ETC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

Spend some time in the forums here, lurk, read, and understand what you are doing before you buy your first part. From reading your post, it seems you have alot to learn, but we all had to start somewhere.

Once you've learned what your doing, and what you need, come back and ask more specific questions and we will be glad to help and point you in the right direction.

(no disrespect)

Swap in an LS3 + bolt-ons/cams and go E85 on it. Bam, 500-600 whp all motor with far more torque than a turbo S2000 can offer you.

Or just build the whole motor/drivetrain/transmission/rear-end and go E85 with a GT35R turbo.

Ya know the only reason I say 67mm is because the only difference between 700 and 850-900 is the turbo. He was talking about a 800-1000hp supra, so why not put the s2000 in the same ballpark. I have a 62mm on mine and want to max it out, get as close to 800 as possible. But if I wanted to go further than that I would have to step up to 64-67mm turb0.

I didnt think my car would be where it was now either, but I'm the kinda person that says "well this costs this much, and its only this much more for this so lets go a little bigger". I got my block already sleeved so I had to build it, but at first 500 was all I really wanted. But at that point the only difference between 500 and 800 is still really just the turbo. Then it was downhill for the drivetrain, didnt want to break an axle grabbing 4th or something and didnt want to blow up a tranny every month so it just kept adding up.

Everyone else seems to be posting dream car setups

Take a look at a bunch of the regular guys on here's setups, plenty of people have spent hours, and thousands figuring out what works, and what doesn't.

Although I'd recommend you just read build thread, after build thread for starters. A few of the real big power guys to start off with would be

Boostedf22c

neeman77

passmans2kny

Scorpio (not an s2k , but still an F motor prepped for big power)

Any of the kings cars ect ect
