With 100K, I'll just drop ship my car to a shop, say Kings Performance, and have them make a 8sec car. Even do a few passes to prove it is an 8sec car. Then just drive it like I stole it.

No wrenching.

Part it when it breaks...

Sounds great guys, I will start reading up on build threads.
100K is a little over kill... I would be happy to spend 50K and get the car I want.

I also am not sure what over all costs will be. Someone said 20k, is that enough to build the engine and get the power I want? The remaining money is going to be spent on suspension and body work.

I would much rather spend the money building a wild looking wide body S2K that would destroy anybody else's tuner car.
My buddies that brag about there Ferrari's and Lamborgini's, I want to leave them in the dust

I also need to ensure I find a great shop to do the work, I would love to tinker with my car myself, but I have never been good at mechanics nor do I have the time.
I may pick up a used NSX for my daily driver (Winter and summer) and have the S2K beast for weekends!

I agree, Fullblown is probably best for him since it is closer to him in Canada. Plus they have all the stuff he will need to make it happen.

Don't put a wide body kit on the car, I think that's cheesy. Keep the body simple

you have a very good amount of info and coming from the people that have either been through it or are going through it,with that being said i have personally been through 3 different shops and finally Kings Performance came through for me...these guys built them tested them and know what works and what doesn't so i would strongly suggest give them a call 6200 E Colonial Dr Orlando, FL 32807,(321) 235-2699 and save yourself thousands and lots of headaches...and NO i don't work for Kings and i'm not sponsored by them either i am just a very happy customer

$20K would be cutting it close, just for the fully built engine, turbo kit and e85 fuel system and supporting clutch, suspension and cooling mods. Never mind the trans/rear end if you plan on really drag racing the car. Add another 10-15k for a supra trans and fullblown 8.8 rear end.

I personally have a extreme build along with some others on here. If this is really what you want do your research find out exactly what your wanting out of it and then contact different shops to see what they can offer. Obviously I'm going to say go with Kings Performance but if you look at my build thread even before I was sponsored by them I used these guys from the very start on everything. If you want a street capable car and knowledge these guys have the best option and experience to allow your car to be street driven with a drivetrain to work with the power.
