Default CTSC/AC and piggyback

i've been told by many on this forum that if i were planning on keeping stock boost with my current header/test pipe/exhaust setup, it'd be best for me to get an eManage to tune it if it were to run too lean. but today, one of the tuners at inlinePRO told me in person that since the comptech has the ESM as part of the kit, i shouldn't get the eManage, because having 2 piggybacks working together (comptech ESM and eManage) would never allow the car to drive smoothly as i would desire. is this the case?

The ESM is a voltage clamp that hides boost from the stock ECU, it's not a piggyback.

The emanage can be used to clamp the voltage, you will no longer need the esm.

I have been struggling with this exact problem. The people at Inline are correct. I suggest a stand alone system.

^^i don't have the kit on yet. i also thought that once you have the kit on, you must have the ESM on as well.

you can drive the car without the ESM, but if your ECU detects boost (on stock boost, probably up around 4.5k rpm? not sure) your ECU will go into limp mode. but it is completely driveable without the ESM, as long as you are under 4k rpm all the time.
