Default CTSC and Bypass valve

I have a question regarding the Comptech supercharger and the stock bypass valve it comes with. My ap1 has a 4" pulley so im gussing im running in the 7psi range. (Maybe someone can confirm) My question is when i check my boost gauge for the peak reading it shows 8.6psi and my map sensor (from datalogging) also shows this. Now when i got my supercharger it came with a godzilla bov on it... i removed that and replaced it with the kits bypass valve but i had to make my own flange for it to route back to my intake (using a 90 deg 1" elbow). Im just wondering if this has any thing to do with the extra pressure im getting. Maybe when i close the throttle body after a WOT 9K run the boost spikes momentarily over 7psi?

Any ideas. Anyone have any issues with the stock bypass causing anything like this?

perhaps you have a smaller pulley instlled that you think. Im assuming you bought the kit used?

To answer your question it shouldnt effect the psi because of your custom flange.

4" pulley should be around 8psi on an AP1.

ok so i thought the kit came with a ap2 pulley (7psi on ap1) but it is a 4" and not the 4.2" ap2 pulley. Thanks for the help guys... i thought there was something wrong. All the searching i found said the 4" pulley was 7psi which i assumed was the ap2 pulley.
