So, your suggesting to experiment.
Honda did a billion miles oil test for S2000, what did you accomplish using unknown oil outside their requirements?
Waste of money & u r looking for trouble.

The car is turbocharged with a notoriously hot running turbo. Running what Honda intended results in water for oil, and I speak from experience.

Rotella is good oil. Your best bet is to do an oil analysis between the two. Let the numbers decide for you.

Rotella Oil is amazing. recommend it for breaking a new engine in. And i run it in all my cars my s2000, 320 hp civic and my 250 hp twin turbo civic

sorry to change the subject but do you have to change your oil right after you dyno tune a boosted s2k? thanks!

I use Valvoline VR1 Racing 20w-50 on my 800+whp with no problems & if you are going to run Ethanol (E85 or E98) or Methanol we use Brad Penn "Green Oil" is the best thing out there.
