Does a Comptech SC KIt feel fast?

I just slapped on a fuel pressure gauge for $35, took it the dyno and checked my AFR for another $75 and its just fine since then. If the fuel pressure doesnt drop there's no reason to believe the A/F will go lean. Sure you could have a fuel pump or be that one guy that the Comptech RRFPR goes whacky but if you leave it alone and dont abuse it I think I'll be fine.

My car felt like the clutch was slipping but I really think it was my driving, I was too slow on letting it all the way out on the redline shifts and it would slip like a mofo, now I sidestep it and it grabs just fine. I think MX5 and some other guys here have been way over 50k on their OEM clutch while FI.

I'm planning on going for a AFR gauge since it certainly cant hurt and it adds some insurance but I dont think its a must have initially.

Just my non FI informed two cents.

Thank you very much. Thats what I was looking for. I keep hearing this will break, that will break etc, but then the people who have the SC kits are saying the opposite. I already have a/f ratio gauges, which are more of a light show, but might help slightly. How many miles are on your stock clutch while being sc'd?
I keep hearing the whole thing, " you gotta spend 3 times what you think, and your gonna break lots of stuff" and then makes me shy away and then hear the exact opposite. Makes it hard to decide lol. Keep going between 4.77's or comptech sc kit.
I would prefer the SC for sure, and not really all that much more money after selling some parts and not needing to spend the $300 or so to tune the vafc as well. So take that into account and with selling and not getting tuned would save me like $700 bucks if I go with the SC.

Well lets face it the 4.77's would be a much more reliable option, you basically replace the gears/diff and a yellow box and you're done right? The SC was put in around 11k and its at 28k now. I drive the car like I would regardless of the extra power.

IDK I just think if you're not on that constant trip to find more power with the SC you'll be just fine. It's one of the reasons I like the kit, I feel if I leave it as is it'll be just fine.

Yeah I am tempted to go with the 4.77's as I know it will be very reliable. But I am just not sure I will be satisfied with the difference. I would really hope it would be a night and day difference and I don't know if that would be the case or not.

Without an AFR gauge, you'll never know if there is a problem, until it's too late. If an injector sticks, or something happens, you just won't know. Sure, you don't NEED one, but a $300 gauge can save your $5000+ motor. I think there is enough info in this thread to make your decision. However, I maintain...I wouldn't buy that kit if I were you, something seems...I dunno...odd. I would never buy anything from a 29 day old member.

P.S. I just read this entire thread....

You would have to be out of your mind to send this guy $2500 of your money.

So what's so wrong with Comptech? People are now recommending ebay turbo kits over comptech bolt on sc kits?
