why? the greddy kit is carb legal.. you have a cat and the exhaust isnt breaking the law
so if I bolt a greddy kit on and run 3 inch exhaust is that still carb legal?

your exhaust is really choking the flow.

the greddy kit is CARB legal as long as you don't modify anything on the kit. Add anything to the kit, cut off anything on the kit, etc etc. and CARB is voided. Remember we're talking the KIT only.

Cat converter, exhaust don't have anything to do with the CARB legality of the kit. They are NOT a part of the kit. Of course if you remove the cat, it is illegal in CA, but you will not void the CARB on the kit, you will be cited for illegally removing your cat. Same for the exhaust, if you modify it, you still need to do so following your state's regulations, but no matter what you do to the catback exhaust system, it will not void CARB on the turbo kit.

a stock s2k w/ a stock greddy turbo kit and a stock cat w/ a 70mm + exhaust system should be making around 260-275ish whp (depending on what dyno you use of course).

the easiest thing to do right now (and probably most legal) is to install a larger diameter catback exhaust system on the car. you could do a testpipe + stock exhaust to free up some HP, but that might be illegal for you.

stock cat + stock exhaust = major flow blockage

the stock cat + the trust 63mm might flow better than stock just b/c it's a single, but probably won't be too much better.

you need to move the vtec up with logs and down with tubular manifolds, the greddy really needs to be moved up or you get a pretty bad vtec dip
