Default Dynoed my CTSC'ed 01 S2000

CONCLUSION:

After a few months of trying different things and adding new parts. I have come to the conclusion that I have only lost 1 PSI. I normally run 4psi (on a 70+ degree day (in Wisconsin). I see 5PSI everyonce in a while, and one time I even saw 6psi (IDK how that is possible), but both of those times it is really cold out (40-55 degrees out). Since this post, I have added full 3 inch header back exhaust, ACT HDSS clutch kit and NGK BKR7E plugs...thats it.

Overall, for people that want to know. You lose about 1 PSI overall with the ULTIMATE RACING FMIC setup. My review: its a nice kit, and pretty good bang for buck. Installation is a breeze.

I made 255whp on King Motorsports Dynojet on roughly 4psi.

Hello everyone.

I have a 01 S2000 with the Comptech Kit, stock pulley, Comptech FMU, Ultimate-Racing Front mount, NGK BKR6E plugs, removed resonator in the stock exhaust. (everything else is stock)

On a Mustang Dyno I layed down only 217whp. The compression is great in all 4 cylinders, and it was around 65 degrees out during the dyno. The numbers are exremely low...off by like 60 hp AT LEAST. The car does not pull like it has 217whp. And ideas? No drivablility issues with the car, no weird noises....Im kind of confused right now...

I had no wideband hooked up when i dynoed it.

No, infact I do not even have a boost gauge yet. I will be checking ignition timing and boost level tonight. I do however have a slipping clutch, but not enough to effect a 1st/2nd gear pull. It slips on launches (which i do not do very often).

Im thinking im at 5.2 psi (loss of .5psi because of front mount)

No wideband readings are really hurting us troubleshooting your issues. Do you have a boost gauge and have verified you are making the proper amount of boost?

I know, I just got the car 3 months ago, and ive alreayd spent alot of money on it...ok, not alot, but 3500 worth.

Boost reading will be done tonight.

Just checked teh belts, the SC belt and the normal belt do not show signs of any kind of abnormal wear.

the belt should be so tight that it sounds a 'note' if you twang it.

check for boost leaks in all of your connections. i do not know if you are
aftercooled/intercooled or not so be sure to check all of your couplings.

make sure the blower itself is mounted TIGHT onto the side of motor and that it does not move.

check your air filter for dirt and shit.

prepare to order new spark plugs - sometimes they are a cheap fix and yield great results.

these are all silly things but check them anyway! you never know.

Do you have an esm installed? Your loosing more than .5psi through an intercooler. Check all the couplings.
